January 18th Weather Update

Good morning all! Carolina Edge is again going to call off practice for tonight for the evident safety concerns the roads present. 

On the bright side! Our Strength Coach, Jonathan, at Morrisville Community CrossFit has a couple of workouts for us:

Every Minute on the Minute (EMOM) for 5 Minutes:

30 shoulder taps

Hold hollow body position for the remainder of the minute

(i.e. Clock starts at 0:00, you do 30 shoulder taps, it takes you 40 seconds to complete the taps, then you hold a hollow body for the remaining 20 seconds in the minute; at 1:00 you start with 30 shoulder taps again, so on, until the clock hits 5:00)

As Many Rounds/Reps As Possible (AMRAP) for 8 Minutes:

8 burpees

16 jump squats

24 sit-ups

Count your rounds and reps!

Other Announcements!

The combo team of 16U, 17U, and 18U will still travel to Tennessee this weekend. Please take your time and communicate with Emma Celentano and Brian Lackey on your travel plans so we can keep track of everyone's progress and all arrive safely.

With JP and Emma traveling this weekend to Tennessee, ALL teams will practice 1-3pm AT Kestrel High School this Sunday January 21st; this change is reflected on the calendar as well. Jody will run a scrimmage with 16U vs. 17U/18U, and Ben will run 14U's team practice.
